Multi-currency & exchange rates

Lode supports 150+ currencies for accounts, transactions, and bills. Rates are fetched and refreshed automatically, so your totals stay accurate across currencies.

Quick Convert

Tap Quick Convert — the arrows button at the top right of the Dashboard. Type an amount next to any currency and the others convert instantly. Tap Add Currency to add more, or swipe left on a row to remove it.

Exchange rates

Tap a currency’s name in Quick Convert to open its rate against your base currency, with a historical chart — choose between 1W, 1M, 3M, 6M, and 1Y timeframes.

Free conversions

When a transaction or bill is in a different currency than its account, Lode converts it automatically. Free users get 5 conversions per month: each new transaction or bill in another currency uses one, editing an existing one doesn’t, and transactions dated during a trip don’t count. The counter resets at the start of each calendar month.

Premium users have unlimited conversions. On the free plan, the editor shows Free conversions left: N/mo under the amount so you always know your remaining balance.

Custom exchange rates

If you prefer your own rate, switch the rate from automatic to Custom and type it in when adding a transaction or bill. When the free conversions run out, you can still record transactions in another currency with a custom rate.

Your base currency

Your base currency is used for all Dashboard totals and budget calculations. To change it, go to Settings → Currency. Existing transactions keep their original currency.

When picking a currency — for your base currency, an account, or a transaction — swipe left on a currency and tap Pin to keep it at the top of the list. Tap Unpin to remove it.
